Iluka is an award-winning Sunshine Coast based design, art and photography studio, founded by Shane Hastings in 2021.

With over 17 years of experience, Shane leads the studio in creating work that blends creativity with purpose, bringing ideas to life across placemaking, public art, landscape design, 3D visualisation, signage, wayfinding, and visual communications.

Guided by a holistic sense of place, Shane focuses on the details that bring cohesion, clarity, and meaning to each project. Iluka’s work connects people to place in compelling and thoughtful ways, crafting experiences that are both engaging and distinctive.

As an artist, Shane draws inspiration from the Sunshine Coast, his travels, and the emotional resonance of landscape. He is driven to tell authentic stories through his work, shaping environments that are respectful, imaginative, and inspiring.

In addition, Shane is a licensed drone pilot and skilled photographer, offering integrated ground and aerial services that complement and strengthen many of the projects he delivers.
